How NJ Cloud Printer Works
Set up once on the computer with the printer. After that, print from your phone wherever it has internet.
Install on your computer
Download NJ Cloud Printer for Windows, or the Linux build if you prefer. The desktop app runs quietly in your system tray and makes the printer already installed on that computer reachable from your phone — including USB-only models that other apps can't reach.
Install on your phone
Download the Android app, or open the web app in any browser — including Safari on an iPhone. There is no separate iOS app today.
Connect instantly via QR
Open the mobile app, tap "Scan QR", point your camera at the QR code shown in your desktop app. Devices are linked in seconds. No IP addresses. No network configuration. No same Wi-Fi required.
Select file. Tap print. Done.
Choose a PDF, JPG or PNG from your phone or cloud storage. Tap Print. Files are encrypted in transit over HTTPS and held in our cloud storage only until your desktop app downloads them to print. They are deleted as soon as the job prints, and purged automatically if they are never collected.
Works with printers that HP Smart and Canon PRINT can't reach
— including USB-only, older, and non-network printers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Wi-Fi enabled printer to use NJ Cloud Printer?
No. NJ Cloud Printer works with any USB-connected printer, even if it has no Wi-Fi capability. The desktop app acts as a bridge between your mobile device and the printer over the internet.
How long does it take to set up NJ Cloud Printer?
Setup takes about 5 minutes. Download the desktop app, install it on your Windows computer, download the Android app, and scan the QR code to connect. No network configuration or technical skills needed.
Can I print from anywhere with NJ Cloud Printer?
Jobs travel over the internet rather than the local network, so you can send them from the next room or another city. The requirement is that the computer connected to the printer is switched on, online, and running the desktop app.
Does NJ Cloud Printer work on Mac?
Not today. The desktop app ships for Windows and Linux only, so a Mac cannot currently act as the computer attached to the printer. The Android app and the web app work from a Mac for sending jobs to a Windows or Linux machine.
